Doris Girgis

Sr. Manager, Development and Engagement

Doris is senior manager of development and engagement on the major gifts team at Prison Fellowship International, bringing almost 20 years’ experience with national and international nonprofit organizations. Doris specializes in the areas of development, marketing and communications and provides oversight and project management for foundation and corporate giving. Doris has seen firsthand the power of transformation and second chances in the lives of incarcerated men and women and their families and is committed to the vision of breaking the cycle of crime and restoring lives all over the world.

Doris has worked in prison ministry in the US for just over 10 years through her work with Prison Fellowship Ministries, most recently as a senior project manager for the marketing and communications team. During that time, she was the primary liaison between the marketing and communications team and the rest of the organization, and she project-managed the work of all the creative teams. In 2022 Doris completed Prison Fellowship’s Management Excellence program. Over the years, Doris has worked on programs in Egypt, South Africa and the United States, among others, with focus spanning from children’s health and nutrition to information sharing in the public sector to prison ministry.

Doris holds a bachelor’s degree in journalism and mass communication from the American University in Cairo (AUC) and is a certified development project manager (CDPM).
