Ashella Ndhlovu-Chama

Program Coordinator, Africa

Ashella Ndhlovu-Chama is a Program Coordinator who supports National Ministries in Anglophone Africa. She brings more than 25 years’ experience working with national governments in Africa and nonprofit organizations in Africa and Canada. Over the years, Ashella has specialized in the areas of policy formulation, strategic management, and project/program management. She currently provides program support to 17 National Ministries in the Anglophone Africa Region.

Ashella believes that prisons are a new mission field and communities can be transformed through those who have had an encounter with Jesus Christ while in prison. She has been touched by the genuine love for Christ prisoners portray once they have gone through The Prisoner’s Journey courses and their commitment to bring the gospel back to their families and communities upon their release. Ashella believes that supporting children of prisoners allows them to experience God’s practical love as well as affording them opportunities to a better life.

Ashella was awarded the African Women’s Public Service Fellowship by the Oprah Winfrey Foundation to study at New York University where she obtained an MPA, Public and Non-Profit Organisations. She also holds a Diploma in Biblical Studies.
